Hey everyone, today I'll show you how to make one of the most loved and traditional dishes of Brazil. I chose this recipe because it's easy to prepare, cheap, and everyone loves it! It's a modified version of a russian stew called stroganoff. Brazilians changed the name for strogonoff (with "o") and changed the way it's made. So let's make a vegetarian brazilian strogonoff!
Ingredients:
- Half a can of vegetarian meat, chopped (it can be any kind you prefer, or it can be actual meat if you're not vegetarian)
- Half an onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, smashed
- 2 tablespoons of concentrated tomato paste
- 4 tablespoons of thickened cream
- 8 olives, sliced
- Half a can of champignons (mushrooms), sliced
- 1 tablespoon of parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- Chunched potato chip
How to prepare:
Chop/slice/smash all the ingredients. Stir-fry the onion and garlic with oil until slightly golden. Add the vegetarian meat and stir-fry a bit more. Add the tomato paste, thickened cream, olives, champignons, salt, and parmesan cheese. Mix it all together. Add water to give it a creamy consistency. Cook for 2 minutes. Serve over rice (preferably brazilian style, salty) and add chunched potato chip on the top. Enjoy it! In the pictures below you can see a step-to-step :)
